1. History taking 
- Tick infestation, identification of tick vector in the
  grazing area
- Predisposing stress such as calving, milking,
  starvation, shipment etc


2. Clinical examination 
- Slightly fever
- Prescapular lymph node swelling
- Anemia
- Milk dropping in milking cow


3. Microscopic examination 
- Giemsa-stained blood smear
- Low PCV value


4. Serological test 
- IFAT


Control and treatment 
- Tick vector control
- Oxytetracycline and terramycin for treatment
