3. Eperythrozoonosis in Swine
1) Proliferation of interlobular connective tissues of the liver showing as lace-like patterns. 2) Degenerated (atrophy) spleen due to solidifying fatty tissues.
3) Dark-reddish swollen spleen (bottom), and normal control (above). 4) Centrolobular necrosis associated with cell infiltration, detention of blood at sinusoid and hemosiderosis in the liver (HE staining).
