5) Small intestine containing yellow-whitish gray colored watery substance, and marked hyperemia or hemorrhage of the mucus membrane.

6) Typhoid nodule in the liver composed of accumulation of macrophages(HE staining).

7) Bacteria positively reacted with anti-salmonella serum demonstrated at lamina propria of the small intestine.

8) Colonies of Salmonella(black color) and Escherichia coli (red color) on DHL agar cultured at 37°C for 24 hrs. Some Salmonella colonies may not change color into black on DHL agar.
