21. Dermatophytosis in Cattle
1) Focal alopecia around the eyes, and formation of crusts. 2) Formation of gray-whitish thick crusts with coin shape seen on the skin.
3) Fungi from the crust of direct smear (treated with 10% potassium hydroxide solution). 4) Arthrospores of Trichophyton verrucosum, forming fish eggs or stone wall like structure, surrounding hair (black part of the center) seen in direct smear of hair.
